August 12th (beach) and Thursday August 14th (Wild Island).
SUMMER BREAK PRACTICE SCHEDULES START MONDAY JUNE 9th. Stay in touch with your coach for any further adjustments. Seniors/Pre-seniors, come ready for running Tuesdays and Thursdays. Blue Group practices M-Th afternoons 4-5 pm, and Friday mornings 7-9 am. Pre-competition, you are joining White Group for the summer (M, W, F, 4:00 pm).
Each of the practice groups has their own schedule, sometimes overlapping with other groups. School session days are based on Douglas County public school schedules only (excluding Zephyr Cove Elementary). There is usually no practice on meet days, or on meet travel days – check with a coach. No practices on Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, and Labor Day. All other public holidays follow the School OUT of Session times, except Independence Day which occurs during the Summer Break schedule. See further explanation at bottom of this page.
Practice schedules are coordinated with Douglas County School bus schedules. Douglas County school buses stop next to the Swim Center each afternoon. Most of our swimmers ride the bus directly to practices. To arrange this for your child, first contact the school district’s Transportation Department (782-5194) and ask which bus route from your child’s school makes this stop. Then provide a note to the school and bus driver allowing your child to ride that route on their practice days.

PRACTICE DAYS ARE BASED ON Douglas County public school schedules only (excluding Zephyr Cove Elementary).
The first full week after ALL public schools have ended for the summer (early June), the Summer Break schedules begin, and they end when ALL schools have started up again in late August. After ALL schools have started, on days when ANY of the public school levels (elementary, middle, and/or high) are in session, the school-in-session practice times apply. The school not-in-session times apply ONLY on days during the regular school year when ALL public school levels are out of session (public holidays, district-wide teacher in-service days, shared spring break and winter break days, etc.). There are usually practices on all public holidays except Christmas day, New Year’s day, July 3rd pm, and July 4th am.
There may be occasional exceptions to the above guidelines - stay tuned to this web site, and don’t hesitate to ask a coach if you are unsure!
